About Author

Jim McKelvey is a successful entrepreneur, inventor, and philanthropist. He is best known as the co-founder of Square, a mobile payment company that he started with Jack Dorsey in 2009. Before that, he co-founded Mira Digital Publishing, which was later sold to Thomson Reuters. He has also founded several other companies, including LaunchCode, an organization that provides free coding education and job placement to talented individuals.

In addition to his business ventures, Jim is also an author and a glassblower. He has written a book called “The Innovation Stack: Building an Unbeatable Business One Crazy Idea at a Time,” which details the story of Square and the lessons he learned while building the company. As a glassblower, he has founded Third Degree Glass Factory in St. Louis, Missouri, which is a center for glassblowing education, art, and entrepreneurship.

Jim is also a philanthropist and has established the non-profit organization, Invisibly, which aims to support independent journalism and media. He has received numerous awards and honors for his work in entrepreneurship and philanthropy, including being inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame.
